This Year is a product built to help young people engage with real-world challenges — the kind of stuff that matters but doesn't always come with a manual. We were brought in to land the look and feel of the brand, and what followed was one of the most creatively interesting packaging projects we've worked on.

The challenge
Designing for young people is harder than it looks. The brand needed to feel genuine — not corporate, not preachy, not trying too hard. And it had to work across a wide range of physical products: embroidered badges, playing cards, sticker sheets, wristbands, journals, packaging boxes, and more. A system that looks good in one place but falls apart across formats isn't a brand system — it's a lucky coincidence.


The approach
We built the brand from the ground up with physical production in mind. Every element was considered in context — how it reads embroidered on a badge, how it feels printed on a card, how it works at sticker scale. The system is flexible enough to stretch across formats while staying visually coherent. The result is a brand that holds together whether you're holding a journal or peeling a sticker.

The outcome
We're proud of how this concept landed. The brand system is complete — every product designed, every detail considered. We're excited to see where This Year goes when it hits the real world.
